IBHI-Lab Hosts GCLP Training Led by Dr. Ngum Lesley to Strengthen Laboratory Quality Systems

On March 18, 2025, IBHI-Lab organized an in-house Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) training, led by Dr. Ngum Lesley, Research Officer at the Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plant Studies (IMPM). The session focused on reinforcing key principles of GCLP to ensure the reliability, reproducibility, and ethical integrity of laboratory data in support of clinical and translational research.
Dr. Ngum’s expertise provided valuable insights into best practices for sample handling, data documentation, equipment calibration, quality control, and regulatory compliance. The training also addressed the importance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and audit readiness.
In alignment with WHO recommendations, IBHI-Lab conducts an annual GCLP competency assessment to uphold international standards and foster a continuous culture of quality and accountability. This training marks a vital step toward maintaining operational excellence and preparing the lab team for optimal performance in ongoing and upcoming research initiatives.
